Sally brings a unique professional background to MC Advisory with her combined experience as an HR professional and social worker. Through her varied experience, Sally has gained a strong knowledge and understanding of human behavior and leads with a collaborative people-focused approach. Sally has worked extensively in the public, private and not for profit sectors in Prince Edward Island. Highlights include Labour Relations Consultant for the Province of PEI, HR Manager with Health PEI, and most recently, the Director of Social Programs with the Department of Social Development and Seniors on PEI. In her HR and LR capacities, Sally worked directly with leadership teams, employees and stakeholders to proactively address workplace matters and support teams in fostering a healthy and respectful workplace culture. As a Senior Leader in the public sector, Sally was responsible for the strategic direction, operational initiatives, and overall workplace culture of the Social Programs division.
As a HR professional, Sally demonstrates a high degree of integrity and responsibility in her work and with the clients and teams she supports. Leaning on her social work skills, Sally brings a trauma-informed and client-directed approach to her practice which helps to build relationships and trust and allow individuals to determine their path.
Sally is a Trainer with the Achieve Centre for Leadership. She also is a strong proponent of health and wellness both in and out of the workplace. In her former capacity as Wellness and Safety Manager, Sally was responsible for disability management, Occupational Health and Safety and employee psychological health and safety. As a Certified Personal Trainer, Sally teaches regular fitness classes within her home community and leads a very active lifestyle. In the past, Sally was an active volunteer with the PEI 4-H Program.
