HALIFAX, January 19, 2021 – McInnes Cooper is pleased to announce the appointment of Drew Barbour as Managing Director for MC Advisory, which is set to begin offering services this spring.
“Our comprehensive search for a Managing Director for our new MC Advisory offering produced strong executive-level candidates, locally and beyond,” said McInnes Cooper Managing Partner Kevin Kiley. “This tells me the market is as excited about this new business as we are. Drew brings a unique set of skills as a seasoned executive, leading global businesses and delivering transformative advisory work in over 50 countries across a broad set of sectors. His background, passion and vision give us confidence he’s the right person to establish and lead this distinctive new business for our firm.”
Until recently, Drew was an Advisory Partner with Ernst & Young in Toronto. Prior to this, he spent 18 years with the France-based global consulting firm, Capgemini, working from the New York office. There, he held several leadership roles, including Chief Sales & Operations Officer (Global Insights & Data Business Unit) and Chief Executive Officer (North America East Business Unit and its Manufacturing & Life Science Business Units). As a member of the Capgemini Group‘s Executive Leadership Team, he led several large global transformations for Fortune 100 companies and for Capgemini itself.
“Launching a new advisory business, backed by the support and expertise of a leading Canadian law firm like McInnes Cooper, is an exciting challenge and opportunity,” said Barbour. “Being an Atlantic Canadian native, I can’t wait to get to work and start building something new and unique to help organizations create the change that matters most to them.
