The Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) is a national network of police services, training academies, sector associations, and other related organizations that work to strengthen and support the policy community by leveraging collective knowledge, experience, and best practices. CPKN enhances access to innovative and engaging learning by offering over 140 online courses to police and public safety agencies across Canada. As a not-for-profit, the CPKN’s mission is to support the development of police professionals through innovative learning solutions that meet the evolving needs of Canadian and First Nations policing.
The Opportunity
Accountable to President of CPKN, the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (ED & COO) supports the President and the Board in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all programs, products, and services provided by CPKN and ensures that CPKN continues to innovate, evolve, and deliver high value to the Canadian Police Community across Canada. As a trusted and engaged leader, the Executive Director nurtures strong relationships with the CPKN staff, external stakeholders, and partners. With a focus on sound business practices and fundamentals, the ED & COO ensures growth of the organization, while creating an environment for success for its employees.

You bring a high degree of cultural competence, ensuring equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are front of mind in decision making and product development. Seasoned, credible and highly respected for your vision, integrity, high client service, and outcomes orientation, you are an excellent communicator and relationship builder who exhibits trust and confidence at all levels. Previous leadership (ED, COO, CEO, etc.) experience in a service-related organization is preferred.
