The Opportunity
Reporting to the Controller, the Director of Finance and Accounting oversees a range of accounting and financial tasks including payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax remittances. They also manage general ledger accounting and financial reporting. Additionally, this position produces detailed financial reports for senior management to boost operational efficiency and support ongoing growth.
As part of succession planning, the Director of Finance and Accounting will undergo mentoring from the CFO and gradually take on additional responsibilities, aiming to step into the role of CFO in the coming few years.

Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
Five years’ experience as a senior-level accounting manager in a private industry sector.
Ten years accounting experience.
Knowledge of nationally accepted accounting practices, federal and provincial tax regulations and compliance reporting.
