About Karen

With over 16 years’ experience leading legal, policy, advisory, and operational teams within large government organizations in New South Wales, Australia and Nova Scotia, Canada, Karen has a proven track record of providing strategic advice and successfully delivering both large- and small-scale projects that involve multiple stakeholders, complex issues and sensitive subject matters.

With a deep understanding of complex public and social sector challenges, Karen is known for providing impactful and action-oriented solutions for her clients. She has a focus in using people centered strategies and restorative design to assist government organizations, not-for-profit entities, and indigenous communities to develop programs and services that are inclusive, accessible, innovative and effective.

Having lived and worked on three continents, Karen is true believer in diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism. Karen understands the critical importance of practicing cultural and gender awareness, understanding privilege, and implementing restorative strategies and design to empower people, drive change and embed success.

When Karen is not working, she enjoys mentoring young lawyers, surfing, music and spending time with her son at the hockey rink.
