About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Whitten is a senior human resources and labour relations professional with over thirty years of strategic leadership experience in the private, public and not for profit sectors.  She is a strong leader, communicator, and relationship builder with a track record of success. She has held senior leadership roles in human resources with Newfoundland Power, the Public Service Secretariat of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union, Fortis Properties Corporation, and the Health Care Corporation of St. John’s.

Elizabeth has broad skills in all areas of human resources management. Her specific areas of expertise and interest include organizational effectiveness and employee development; diversity, equity and inclusion; labour and employee relations; workplace investigations; and talent management.

Elizabeth is a volunteer with the CNIB and the Gathering Place. She has previously served as Chair of the Board with the Murphy Center and was a public representative on the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals. Elizabeth also served on the Board of Directors of Waypoints, on the HR Committee of Ruah Counselling Services and was a founding member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
